Wow, it’s right on the beach!

We considered stopping the description there but we also wanted you to know that this 3 bedroom house at Playa Marsella has an infinity pool, hammocks, A/C, daily cleaning service, secure parking, hot water and internet. We even have a generator in case the power goes out. Throw in a basket of toys for the kids and what more could you want?

KAWAMA is a great location to entertain guests.  We have a fully appointed kitchen as well as a covered gas BBQ and outdoor sink. Take your meals at the breakfast bar, or move outside to watch the waves where we have seating for 8 between the dining table and lounge area.

KAWAMA is located 20 minutes north of San Juan del Sur on Playa Marsella, one of the most “tranquilo” beaches in the area. With 2 restaurants right on the beach and a few more within walking distance, you don’t have to go very far to find a good meal. We are also perfectly situated for surfing  being only 5 minutes from Playa Maderas, the best surf break in the area.

But who cares about all that because… it’s right on the beach!

Access

We recommend that all guests rent a 4×4 or large vehicle for transportation while staying at KAWAMA. All the roads outside of San Juan del Sur are dirt and can be difficult to navigate with a smaller vehicle particularly during rainy season.

Casa Sombra y Sol

Postcard perfect views await you year round at Casa Sombra y Sol. We’re just 10 minutes outside of San Juan del Sur but that short drive makes all the difference. Not only do you have unimpeded ocean and sunset views 365 days a year from your private pool but we’re just far enough away that the noise from town won’t interfere with a perfect nights sleep.

Newly constructed Casa Sombra y Sol (Shade and Sun) was designed with an “inside out” aesthetic to take full advantage of the tropical Nicaraguan climate. Cooking inside in our fully equipped modern kitchen is great but preparing a meal outside in our covered second kitchen as the sun goes down is an experience not to be missed. If these aren’t enough options for you, our guests also have access to our gas BBQ. Our main dining and living areas are also located in the covered outdoor area so, rain, shine or stars, you don’t have to waste a minute of your time indoors (unless you want to).

When it is time to step out into the sun, you can bask in one of the loungers or jump straight into our private saltwater pool. The pool even has four submerged stools along the infinity edge so you can create your own postcard-perfect moments watching the sun go down over the Pacific.

Access

Only a 12 minute stroll down the beach from downtown San Juan del Sur, we are located in one of the premier developments in Nicaragua. Talanguera Townhomes is a wonderful combination of modern architecture with a design aesthetic that echoes the surrounding landscape. At the center of everything is our giant Guanacaste tree that anchors the courtyard and provides shade from the midday sun. There just isn’t anything else like it in San Juan del Sur. Trust us, we looked!

The townhouse itself is 1200sqft spread over two floors. The two bedrooms are on the main floor and the open living/dining/kitchen are located above. Venture up our spiral staircase to the roof for a spectacular view of town, the bay and some of the most amazing sunsets you’ll ever see.

During your stay you’ll have access to all common areas including the swimming pool, garden and green space. As well as the gas BBQ on our deck, you are also welcome to use the large charcoal BBQ by the pool.

This 3 bdrm, 3 bath townhome is only a 5 min. walk from sunsets on the beach and only 12 min. from all the restaurants and fun that San Juan del Sur has to offer.

The property includes a large garden area for relaxing, yoga or hanging out with friends. If the sun gets too hot, you can always retreat to the shaded grotto or take a dip in the pool.
